Galbreath and Sons at the Southern Home Show

Come visit Galbreath and Sons at the upcoming Green Product Expo, part of the Home Builders Association of Greater Savannah’s 2010 Southern Home Show.

The event will be held April 30-May 2 at the Savannah International Trade and Convention Center. The U.S. Green Building Council is a non-profit organization committed to a prosperous and sustainable future for our nation through cost-efficient and energy-saving green buildings.

“You don’t have to sacrifice anything to have a beautiful, green home,” said Beth Ann Jackson, a member of the USGBC-GA Savannah Branch Leadership Group. “Green living has come a long way. You can have a gorgeous home, and at the same time have a home with lower energy and water bills and much better indoor air quality.”

The Green Products Expo will feature mini-presentations on solar technology, renewable energy, energy savings for your home, low-flow plumbing fixtures, rain barrels and more. Exhibitors include a solar provider as well as lighting, sustainable wood flooring and HVAC companies and homebuilders.

A half-day LEED & EarthCraft for Homes and a full-day LEED Green Associate Exam Prep Workshop will also be available for building professionals.

Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) is the internationally-recognized standard for high performance, low water and energy use buildings developed by the U.S. Green Building Council. Go to www.usgbcga.org for more information on the training.
